Hanson Communications, Inc. buys Consolidated Communications

HANSON COMMUNICATIONS, INC. BUYS CONSOLIDATED COMMUNICATIONS – OHIO PROPERTIES

Hanson Communications has entered into an agreement to purchase the Ohio assets of Consolidated Communications. Consolidated’s Ohio operations include Germantown Telephone Company, Columbus Grove Telephone Company and Orwell Telephone Company which grossed approximately $9 million of revenue in 2020 and include around 4,000 access lines and 3,900 Internet connections.
Hanson Communications is a family-owned telecommunications company founded in 1951. With the sale of Consolidated – Ohio finalized, Hanson will own eleven ILECs in Minnesota, South Dakota and Ohio. Hanson has over 10,000 access lines, 15,000 Internet connections and 5,500 TV connections across the United States.

Currently, Hanson Communications, Inc. is the 52nd largest telephone company in the United States.
