Yesterday’s service interruption was triggered by a Tier 1 upstream provider equipment failure. Although our network has redundant connectivity, a routing issue within our middle-mile partner’s infrastructure temporarily prevented traffic from automatically failing over as intended. The routing limits were corrected and service was restored.
